Michelangelo’s material of choice being Bianco Carrara marble, a classic white veined marble originating from Italy’s Carrara region, its cool white coloring can be seen from a distance covering the mountain, often easily mistaken for snow capped peaks. This stone has been used since the time of ancient Rome, quarried by the Cybo and Malaspina families who ruled over Massa and Carrara. Used In some of the most remarkable buildings in Rome include the Panthenon, Trajans column and column of Marcus Aurelious. Marble is perfect to use in bathrooms and kitchens, it is however prone to staining as it is quite a porous rock which means you need to be a bit careful in the kitchen when working with acidic products.
